Stefan Marinescu, Product Manager at Gameloft, is excited to bring competitive Modern Combat 5 to the next level.

Modern Combat is one of the longest running and most established first-person shooter franchises on mobile platforms. It has always been at the forefront of the genre’s evolution, so now it is only logical for it to take its first pioneering step into eSports.

Modern Combat 5 is skill-based, fast-paced, entertaining, and it has the support of a large community of dedicated players. The only thing that it has been lacking is a spectator mode, which is to be added soon via the 1.9 update. Now our community members can finally show off their skills and gear in a competitive environment.

Because we want only the best for our players, we have decided to partner with the ESL in order to deliver the highest quality experience for this and future tournaments. We are eager to see the top players from our community battle for the title of Modern Combat 5 Champion. Our first tournament is just beginning, and it will be an experience from which we promise to learn and adapt in order to make all of our future events incredible experiences for both players and viewers.

The game is available on the App Store where it is one of the top FPS shooters – we can’t wait to see you competing in our cups. Good luck!
